JOB SUMMARY 

IMG Citrus, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the following packinghouse general laborer positions:  Packers, Forklift Operators & Stackers.  The positions will perform various manual labor positions from packing, grading, sorting fruits and agricultural products according to their size, quality and type.  Perform physical functions to ensure timely and accurate fruit processing/packing.  Activities include  grading, packing, cleaning, and working in the shipping and staging cooler.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS 

Fruit Packers

Package a variety of citrus and agricultural products according to their size, quality and type.  Perform physical functions to ensure timely and accurate fruit processing/packing. Activities include grading, packing and working in the shipping and staging cooler. Prior citrus packing experience preferred. Must be flexible with working schedule. Able to do repetitive work while putting attention to detail.

  
 

Stackers

The stacker will assist packing personnel with lifting and stacking finished cases onto a pallet to be pulled into cooler for storage. Keep the packaging lines moving by stacking boxes on pallets at the end of the line.  Prior stacking experience a plus. Must be flexible with working schedule. Job duties include lifting cases up to 40 lbs.

  
 

Forklift Operators

The forklift operator aids in production and quality control by operating a forklift to unload, load and/or arrange bins of fruit. The forklift operator assists both the transportation and production departments but staging fruit bins in the yard and warehouse as well as, dumping bins or fruit into the production lines. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with OSHA Standards. Maintain product quality standards by adhering to HACCP and other safety requirements. Adhere to Quality Assurance Guidelines. Performs other tasks as necessary and as requested by the Manager or supervisor, including assisting the packinghouse production crew. Prior forklift experience required. In house certification is necessary for the appropriate safety requirements to be maintained.

Manufacturing environment: involves walking, sitting and standing throughout the day. Work is performed indoors in packinghouse environment with and at times in cooler room between 40-60 degrees. The hours and days worked may change based on operational needs.  Drug free workplace.
