The Sales Analyst (SA) is for Cherry Lake Tree Farm, the leading producer and marketer of ornamental plant material in the Southeast.  Product lines include large containerized trees, shrubs, palms, and outsourced materials.  Territories include Florida, Texas, Gulf States, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast.

The Sales Analyst (SA) is responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of sales and related data in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity.  Cherry Lake Tree Farm markets over 200 product lines with fluctuating inventory volume and pricing.  The SA will track sales rates, forecast inventory availability, measure price elasticity, suggest price levels and promotions for revenue optimization.  In addition, the SA will monitor orders and commitment levels and work with Sales Manager to efficiently allocate inventory for optimal inventory flow.
Sales Analyst will track customer service and sales metrics via CRM and ERP information systems and support Sales Manager in leading sales and customer service teams with accurate and actionable data.

The Sales Analyst will create both standardized and custom reports, conduct quantitative product and sales analysis; assess future needs and data integrity.  SA must develop standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency.

We are looking for a proven candidate with strong analytical and communication skills.  Must be a self-starter and entrepreneurial.

 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

     
Inventory Management:
The SA is a member of the Inventory Management Team, responsible for managing the flow of inventory, optimizing revenue and profitability, pricing, order management, product selection, allocation and sales promotional tactics.

Pricing Analytics: The SA will help to analyze inventory and sales data in order to establish pricing on product lines with goal of optimizing revenue and managing yield.

Process Improvement:  Review, map and analyze core business processes of the customer service and order fulfillment teams with the goal of increasing efficiency, profitability and level of service.  Consistently improve processes and work with IT team to integrate with ERP system.

Budgeting:  Assist management in developing and reviewing the sales budget and rolling sales forecast including sales to budget variance analysis.
 
Order Management:  Monitor orders and bookings and ensure that they are accurate and current.  Release orders as necessary to allow optimal flow of inventory.  Use scheduled control reports to identify and delete obsolete orders.
 
Order Entry Accuracy:  Use control reports and analysis to ensure that order entry is accurate and timely, abiding by established processes and guidelines.
 
CRM:  Leverage Customer Relationship Management strategy to capture and track data related to sales and customer service activities.  Analyze trends and improve customer experience.  Improve CRM strategy and system configuration and promote user adoption.
 
Customer Experience:  The SA should look to improve the customer experience.  Work with Sales Leadership team to find ways to make Cherry Lake easy to do business with and seek to create a branded customer experience in line with Cherry Lake Tree Farm’s values and strategy.
 
Communication:  Communicate results to key stakeholders in order to support informed business decisions by providing in-depth analysis and recommendations.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 year college degree (Graduate degree a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Pivot Table, ERP and CRM experience)
  • Spanish language skills a plus

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/HOURS OF WORK

Valid Driver’s License State of Florida – Class E and clean MVR

40-hour week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. May be required to work overtime during peak times.
