JOB SUMMARY 

The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing all landscape maintenance activities and maintain relationships with clients as primary contact for all maintenance and enhancement activities. Ensure compliance with design specifications, budgets and schedules. Ensure landscape maintenance quality specifications are met.  Implement procedures and processes, and coordinate routine and long-term tasks and schedules. Maintain budget or justify variances above or below budget accruals. Supervise, educate and guide maintenance foreman and ground crews.  Assess quality of work on jobsite, facilities and systems through regular documented status reports. Maintain employee record keeping requirements related to attendance, performance evaluations and payroll. Continually analyze workflow, seeking areas for improvement. The Account Manager is directly responsible for managing the safe, efficient and quality production of a team of Landscape Maintenance Crews, while delivering outstanding service to our customers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Communicate with customers to determine needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Set and meet customer expectations that fulfill contractual obligations.

  • Seek out and present new enhancement opportunities.

  • Maintain high customer retention through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits.

  • Building an outstanding maintenance operations team – recruiting and hiring experienced employees and working with employees to build and support a team environment.

  • Maintain employee retention through training opportunities and feedback from periodic evaluations.

  • Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting the company culture, in particular, regarding safety, quality and customer service.

  • Manage company resources that include labor, materials and equipment.

  • Ensure crews have the proper equipment to do their jobs and that equipment is properly maintained.

  • Develop crew work schedules and service routes.

  • Schedule and manage all subcontract services in accordance with contract scope of services.

  • Understand new contract estimates and budgets.

  • Work Closely with administrative staff to make sure all contract administration is timely and accurate.

  • Assist with developing annual maintenance division budgets and accruals.

  • Accountable to monthly P&L and provide feedback on contract performance.

  • Foster LEAN working environment and sustainable practices.

  • All other duties assigned to manage landscape maintenance accounts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in landscape maintenance account management.

  • Landscape professional with strong horticulture knowledge.

  • Superb communication skills and knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Needs to be self-motivated, team player and results oriented.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment, multi-task to meet schedule deadlines with limited supervision. Keen attention to detail.



WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands

Irrigation work is done outdoors in all kinds of weather. The work can be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; crouch; stoop or kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

 

Job Site Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to the homeowner’s pets.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES / HOURS OF WORK 

  • Valid Drivers’s License with clean MVR
  • Industry Certifications a plus
  • Monday - Friday, 40+ hours per work week and weekends as required.
