Description: | The Receiving Specialist is responsible for reviewing, entering, analyzing and controlling the accuracy of inventory transaction data to update and maintain computerized records in support of overall supply chain activities. |
Ensure accuracy between physical inventory and computer system records by assisting with cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and providing detailed documentation of inventory adjustments that need to be made.
Prepare and maintain detailed inventory movement reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Assist Material Handlers in the issuing of outgoing materials, unloading of deliveries, and opening of boxes to verify the material received.
Review outgoing material entries daily for coding accuracy, alert material handlers or supervisor of any discrepancies to resolve prior to scheduled release in the system.
Complete tasks such as receiving, returns, inventory transfers, inventory issuing, item request processing, record updating, and data entry.
Communicate with the Purchasing and Accounting teams concerning discrepancies in deliveries, purchases, coding, and/or billing.
Communicate with vendors and company personnel to confirm accuracy on off-site deliveries and inventory movement for materials stored outside of the warehouse.
Direct delivery drivers to proper locations for offload.
Month-end inventory reconciliation and reports.
Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Must be well organized and able to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
Strong work ethic and ability to obtain objectives accurately and on time.
Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office/Google Suite applications, ERP/MRP Software Experience preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, start and end times vary depending on organizational needs. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Walking and standing for short periods of time. Occasional bending, lifting and carrying of objects. May work in an outdoor setting as required.
