SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Pulling Team Lead is responsible for leading daily pulling operations to ensure customer orders are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently. This role serves as a working leader who provides direction, coaching, and support to team members while maintaining productivity standards and meeting shipping deadlines. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), possesses strong leadership skills, and can effectively make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead and supervise daily pulling operations to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
Assign tasks and monitor team performance to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Communicate clearly with Loading, Quality Control, Inventory, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor workflow and make real-time decisions to overcome operational challenges and meet deadlines.
Ensure pulled material meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Maintain accurate records and provide status updates to management throughout the day.
Promote a positive team environment.
Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently when required and authorized.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and direct sunlight.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work extended hours, weekends, and overtime as business needs require.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, agricultural, nursery, or similar operational environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory movement, and workflow management.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and motivate employees to achieve operational goals.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with basic computer systems, email, and communication platforms.
Experience in horticulture, nursery, agriculture, landscaping, or tree farm operations.
Equipment operation experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES / HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Saturday through Wednesday, 40 hours per work week.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment.
