Receives work priorities from Account Manager and Foreman will delegate assignments to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
Supervise all landscaping activities and coordinate work schedule for landscape maintenance crew(s).
Conduct before and after inspections of work sites.
Perform pruning and weed control and other operations as needed.
Identify insect and disease issues and report to Account Manager.
Handle basic irrigation tasks such as setting and checking clocks, reporting any damage and conduct repairs as needed.
Assist crew in completion of required tasks.
Oversee proper safety equipment and PPE usage and practices of crew.
Conduct proper on the job training with crew as needed.
Prioritize the day’s work list and assign duties to crew members.
Address questions or issues with Account Manager
Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
Complete assigned work orders within due dates.
Direct fertilizer and pesticide applications.
Complete weekly vehicle and equipment reports.
Perform inventory counts of equipment and chemicals.
Track work hours of employees.
Maintain vehicles and equipment clean.
Maintain and care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks or walls.
Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.
Gather or remove litter.
Maintain or repair irrigation systems.
Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses or watering cans.
Care for nature turf fields, making sure the underlying soil has the required composition to allow proper drainage and to support the grasses used on the fields.
Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.
Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
Sweep walkways of debris.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
All other duties assigned for landscape maintenance.
Two or more years of prior landscape maintenance supervisory role (working foreman) experience, including strong background in crew leadership.
Excellent communication skills, working knowledge of all aspects of landscape and turn maintenance.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
High priority on quality and goal orientations.
Provide quality landscape maintenance and exceptional follow-up skills.
High school or higher level education preferred.
Must be dependable and hardworking.
Working knowledge of all types of landscaping equipment.
Able to work in ever changing weather conditions.
Ability to read and follow directions.
