Residential Irrigation Technician - Landscape Maintenance
 

JOB SUMMARY 

The Residential Irrigation Technician is responsible for inspecting and maintaining residential irrigation systems to ensure proper water coverage for lawns, plants, and landscape areas. This role includes adjusting sprinkler heads, programming irrigation controllers, and performing basic repairs to irrigation heads and pipes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Receive daily work schedule from the Irrigation Lead
     
  • Complete irrigation inspections according to the assigned schedule
     
  • Adjust sprinkler heads to ensure proper coverage for turf and plants
     
  • Program irrigation controllers (training provided)
     
  • Perform minor repairs to irrigation heads and pipes using basic tools
     
  • Complete and submit daily irrigation inspection reports (training provided)
     
  • Follow company safety procedures while working on residential properties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 3 months experience
     
  • Ability to work Autonomously
     
  • Needs to be self motivated, team player and results oriented
     
  • Dependable and hard working
     
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Site Conditions 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment. In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property. The employee may also occasionally be exposed to the homeowner’s Work Environment

Physical Demands
Irrigation work is done outdoors in all kinds of weather. The work can be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Employees are regularly required to stand; walk; crouch; stoop or kneel.

 

HOURS OF WORK
M- F, 40+ hour work week and may be required to work additional hours during peak times or as needed.  Start and end times vary. 

REQUIRED LICENSES 

  • While a valid driver’s license is not required, employees should be aware that part of the job includes driving a golf cart around the property.
